Q: How Can a Small Group Leader "WIN THE GOLD MEDAL" in 2006?
A:>1. Maintain an authentic relationship with God.
”Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:4
<>2. Invest your time, talent, and treasure towards fulfilling the mission of Central Christian.
"To Connect the Unconnected to Christ and TOGETHER grow to full devotion to Him."
<>3. Be sure to keep your Small Group Christ centered.
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8
<>4. Utilize the Life Path Curriculum that Central creates.
Examples: 40 Days Of Community, How To Study The Bible, Philippians, and Your Mormon Friend
<>5. Attend Leadership Development gatherings that your Small Group Pastor invites you to attend (approximately 6 per year).
Examples: SURGE, Huddles, Workshops, and 1-1's with your Small Group Pastor
<>6. At appropriate times throughout the year, connect the unconnected by filling the open chair.
Examples: Personal invitation, Group Finder, and 40 Days of Purpose
<>7. In order to create a spiritual legacy, each year identify and prepare an Apprentice Small Group Leader who will eventually lead a group.
“Come follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once, they left their nets and followed him.” Matthew 4:19 & 20
<>8. Each month, rally your group to attend 1st Wednesday together.
1st Wednesday is a monthly gathering of the core of Central to worship and receive leadership from our Senior Pastor.
<>9. Encourage your group members to find a place to serve at Central and make a difference with their lives.
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. …let him use it.” Romans 12:6
<>10. If you encounter a situation in your group that you feel inadequate to deal with, contact your Small Group Pastor for support and assistance.
Small Group Leaders should not feel like they are all alone trying to lead their group. The pastor is dedicated to supporting the leader at all times.
